I'd headed out to this area in the hope of catching some winter scenes, but the snow that fell a few days earlier had all but gone.  On the way back down Lake Mountain, I noticed how the sun was just beginning to stream through the clouds, throwing a wonderful soft light over the uneven terrain.  Luckily, I managed to pull in at a convenient look-out and fire of a few shots and capture this one particular peak being illuminated as though it was the star of the show.
