Timeless Tide
The powerful force of the Bass Straight, crashing into the shore at 13th Beach on the Bellarine Peninsula. I've visited this location frequently, and taken dozens of photographs over the years and still return and manage to capture new images. This was a particularly cool early Spring evening and as the heavy cloud of the day began to thin I could see a glimpse of light appearing on the horizon so i set up my gear at a point on the beach I had previously scouted. It was a case of being patient as I waited for the right flow of a wave over the rocks, hoping this would come as the colour in the sky was at its peak. I did almost get soaked by a rouge wave, thankfully noticing it just in time and grabbing my tripod before the camera went for a swim, but all the elements came together eventually and the way the cool blue and pastel pink of the clouds compliment each other, capped the scene.
