The opportunity to shoot 'autumn' in Australia is hampered by the lack of colour in the native tress.  The result of this is that locations such as this one, Honour Avenue, in Mount Macedon can get extremely busy for a few weeks in April to the extent that the road is occasionally closed off to keep the many many tourists safe from the traffic.  Luckily, I headed here a week or so before the rush, at the end of what had been a wet day so pretty much had the place to myself.  I wanted a simple composition, which can be difficult when surrounded by such colourful beauty, so decided to use the road itself as a leading line into the trees and the distance beyond.  There were quite a few times that I had to move out of the middle of the road due to oncoming cars, but eventually I had enough of a window to capture this delightful scene.
