Neptunes' Well
  • Neptunes' Well

The incoming tide forms a temporary waterfall over the edge of this rock shelf, seemingly forming an entrance to an underwater world.  I'm lucky that this beach is relatively close to home and use it as a 'go-to' location when the light appears to be favourable.  I had scouted this particular spot the evening before so knew exactly where to head and having set up my gear waited patiently for just the right amount of water to appear in the scene.  Thankfully, just before the sun dipped below the horizon, the right wave came along.
