The little boats seem completely safe from the early spring storms that have appeared on the horizon and the soft glow of the setting sun provides the sense of tranquillity that contrasts with the distant squall.  Even though the water rose over the top of my gum boots, causing yet more wet feet, it was completely worth it as there is such a gentle simplicity to this image

I love coming to this location at the mouth of the Werribee River as its one that always presents something different and still has a sense of belonging to a bygone era, even though the surrounding area has just begun to see the inevitable consequences of the ever expanding urban environment.  One can only wonder how long it will be until this wonderful untouched gem is overrun by new developments, and how images such as these will be looked on nostalgically.
