Autumn Glory
Having been denied the opportunity to get out and photograph the Autumn colours of 2020 due to the Covid 19 lockdowns, I made sure I took every opportunity I could to try and capture the 2021 offerings. Knowing there is usually only a window of around 3-4 weeks where the trees are in full glory before the seasonal storm roll through and blow the leaves away, I scouted many locations looking for interesting compostions in the nearby ranges, that are famed for the palette they provide at that time of year.
One such location was a private residence that opens up its gardens to the public, so after driving past and seeing the colours in full glory, I decided to head back as soon as I was able. I spent almost an hour composing and refining many photographs of this Japanese Maple tree, and could easily have spent even longer.
Location - Mount Macedon, VIC.
