I'd headed to Lake Daylesford on a crisp Autumn evening hoping to catch some Autumn colour in the trees that surround the water. I wasn't disappointed with the colour on offer, but couldn't find a composition that would work. The sunset also fizzled into nothing, so I frustratingly packed my gear up and headed back to the car. As is often the case, when you don't look for an image one presents itself to you and as I walked past this gap in the trees, I could see how they wonderfully framed the golden leaves across the water, so hurriedly unpacked my camera and captured this image before the light failed completely.
