Heavenly Light
Ever since seeing a glimpse of Haleys Coment, through my fathers telescope as a kid, I've been fascinated with the night sky. Thankfully, the sensors of todays modern cameras can see so much more of space than the naked eye which has allowed for a specific genre of photography to floursih, astrophotography. Its something I'm happy to delve into once in a while (the main issue being the 'Milky Way Season' in the Souther Hemisphere is during the coldest months), and when I do I'm always blown away by the number of stars that can be seen.
This particular shot shows the galactic core of the Milky Way, and the large ball of light to its left is Jupiter.
