The continuously changing skyline of the Melbourne CBD contrasts beautifully with the somewhat more sedate foreground provided by the yachts and small boats moored out in Hobsons Bay. Luckily this particular location is only a short distance from my house, but it still took a number of very early starts in order to be lucky enough to experience the light I was looking for. More often than not during spring time the day will dawn with clear skies, but a wonderful run of hot, humid weather during November 2017 resulted in this majestic pallet of smooth pastel colours and a serene calmness on the water.
