The Covid 19 lockdowns of 2020 were tough for all, and it took a period of adjusting to not being able to head out when I pleased to try and take a photograph. In order to keep creative, I invested in some equipent that allows my landscape lenses to be used for macro photography. I've always been impressed by the images that show how different the world can be close up, so excitedly headed around my garden for any subjects. This cordyline plant has stood, unspectacularly for a few years, but when seen through new eyes, the way the light emphasised the greens and contrasted the darker shades was magnificent.
It certainly opened a new avenue which I will continue to explore when out taking more conventional shots.
