Princes Dawn
  • Princes Dawn

One of those iconic images most photographers in Melbourne like to have in their portfolio, the old pylons of Princes Pier are certainly a very photogenic subject.  Traditionally, this location is very busy at sunset with fishermen and photographers all vying for the best spot but I decided to go in the morning when its usually reasonably quiet.  What made it even more deserted on this particular morning was that Victorians were still under various travel restrictions and luckily for me this was within my alloted radius.  The lack of people made it a very stress free morning where I was able to take a number of images whilst trying to get the full span of the pylons, of which this was my favourite.  As I turned the radio on in the car to start the short journey home, it was announced that we would be locked down again, making this capture even more poignant.
