The rainforests of the Otways in Victoria, truly are a magical place. Some parts feel almost untouched by civilisation and you can only wonder at how the area has evolved over time. Usually, clear sunny days aren't considered ideal for woodland photography, but on this particular day the light was so well diffused by the foliage that as I made the trek to Beauchamp Falls, I couldn't help notice how the beams of light were falling on the ferns and the small creek and were almost bringing the scene to life. It took a bit of adjustments to make sure my tripod was secure, but once I had settled on the composition, I was happy to take my time for the light to be just right and capture this scene of pure tranquillity.
Location - Beauchamp Falls, Cape Otway VIC.
