Twilight Blue
I had originally booked a photography trip to New Zealand way back in 2019 which had been cancelled due to the events of the next few years. Thankfully I still had a credit from the airline so, when the first opportunity arrived for me to rebook, I excitedly took it. Unfortunately the weather was less than cooperative for the majority of my time there, resulting in a number of intended destinations not being accessible. However, I do believe, sometimes these things happen for a reason and it was after yet another day of heavy rain I headed back to my campsite in Queenstown a day early. As I arrived in the gathering gloom, I noticed how there had been some fresh snowfall on the mountains, which were catching the last of the light in the blue hour. So, I quickly parked up and ran to this small jetty I had scouted a few days before, and set up my camera with just enough time to capture this long exposure before the whole scene fell into darkness.
