VIC 3000
I never tire of photographing the ever changing skyline of Melbourne. Having moved away from the hustle and bustle of the city a few years ago, opportunities to capture cityscapes have been limited but, finding myself in the area in autumn 2024, I headed to a well known spot across Hobsons Bay to see what I could compose. I tried the traditional panoramas, of which I have many, but decided to try a portrait format as something different. I was pleasantly surprised with the result, and the more I look at the final image, I can't help thinking of the likeness to old photos of the New York skyline with the Twin Towers and Empire State Building in the distance.
